| COPPERSHIELD is a prefabricated plastomeric membrane which is protected with a soft copper laminate which is embossed during the glazing process. It is reinforced with high resistance glass fibre and the compound is made of a filled oxidised bitumen base. The particular embossing dimensions, created with a process which allows the metal to expand, alongside the quality reinforcement positioned inside the bitumen mass guarantees a strong resistance to even the most dramtic temperature changes. The elevated degree of polymeric compound change offers a further resistance to the ageing process. |

| Where to apply |
| COPPERSHIELD is suitable where a special finishing and a perfect waterproofing are required. Coppershield is used in many technical-esthetical solutions. Due to the high mechanical characteristics and the foil protection against UV rays, this membrane can be used for perimeter walls, flashings, eaves where their particular shape can create application difficulties to a standard waterproofing mat. |

| How to apply |
| COPPERSHIELD has the underside covered with POLYFLAM, the special polyethylene anti-adhesive film to be torched during application. The rolls are supplied with overlapping strip covered by a silicon film to be removed during application. The substrate must be dry, clean and smooth. The membrane is applied by torching it with a light propane gas flame. Application requires a special care for esthetical results. COPPERSHIELD cannot be applied where roof slope is lower than 3%. With multi-layer waterproofing, the final biutmen membrane guarantees higher dimensional stability, so its reinforcement will be a composite, doublefaced or glass fibre type. Given the morphological characteristics of the product the use of any insulation is not advised. |
